Kathleen discovered yoga in 1974 while attending Mankato State University. Her first teacher was Nita Nickerson, who studied with Indra Devi, the first woman to teach yoga in the United States.
On her yogic journey, Kathleen has had the opportunity to study with many yoga masters, including Erich Schiffmann, Judith Lasiter, Angela Farmer, Patricia Walden, John Friend , Rodney Yee, and Ana Forrest. Kathleen received a minor in dance in 1976 from Mankato State University. She went on to receive a 200 hour yoga teacher certificate and then a 500 hour advanced yoga teacher certificate from Kripalu, the largest yoga center in the United States. She opened her own yoga center in Minneapolis in 2002.
Kathleen is passionate about sharing her love of yoga, and is dedicated to providing students with a safe and secure learning environment. She is serious about yoga; however does not take herself very seriously. She is best known for teaching light-hearted classes that help people develop better balance, strength, and flexibility.
