Jennifer Stanley

Jennifer Stanley

Yoga Teacher

Jennifer followed a friend to a yoga class over 15 years ago and immediately knew it would become a part of her life. It was not until leaving behind a busy architectural practice in 2010 that she finally was able to figure out how to make the practice a foundation for a more balanced life.

In 2011 Jennifer completed the initial 200-hour teacher training with Prana Yoga College in Vancouver and has continued ongoing teacher training with Ana; Restorative and Restorative Therapeutics with Wendy Eyton and Tianne Allen; and, the study of Yoga Nidra with Michele Denis. She is currently completing the 500-hour learning program with a focus on those aspects of yoga which remind us to slow down and notice the beauty and self-healing powers of each moment of mindfulness.

While Jennifer loves her own active practice she has found that teaching and practicing restorative yoga is a true gift that is beautiful to share. While she wishes she had discovered this in her workaholic days, she believes this practice to be extremely beneficial as well in negotiating transitions and new stresses that might come with leaving busy jobs and raising families as well as concerns for aging parents and our own aging processes.
